First TV shoot and my first poem.

Friends, I am so excited to share with you some things happening around here, my impeding TV debut and my new love of writing poetry!

First the the show...
I filmed my first two Yoga Journey's webisodes last weekend. And you know what? A lot goes into something like that, I really never knew. As you watch them (I believe they will be available in May), keep in mind I had to draw each thing a few times. Oh friends, I required lots of takes! I learned so much and I'm ready to film lots more. AND I will be getting a REAL set of my 'studio' right after Easter. More on that later.

Here is a shot of my back wall right before we began to film.

And here is the mock-up I am creating for my logo....yes, I actually cut and paste with scissors and glue!

And now about my first my first poem...
I went to a poetry workshop taught by a friend of mine,
Dawn Leas, who happens to be such an amazing poet herself.

The workshop was called 'Found Poetry" This is a form of poetry where you can take something, a book, a newspaper or even and email and you create a poem from this by crossing out or pulling words from the text and creating something new! So fun and it makes you so mindful when reading something, all day I see something entirely new in everything I am reading!

Here is one I wrote in the workshop,
This Found Poetry piece was inspired by "The Land of Stories: The wishing well" by Chris Colfer

                              north east south west

                                            a wishing spell

                                                     pencils down
                                                     a birthday surprise

                                          something so juvenile
                                     was it considered cheating?

                                                          over thinking everything
                                                          spontaneous overshadowed

                                                        she trusted and
                                                                         so it was

Have a creative Sunday my friends,
